Change Volume Cluster Size
- Cluster is the smallest unite in disk file management and file system can manage files more efficiently using cluster. Provided that file is generally stored in one or several clusters and the same cluster can only be used by one file, cluster is always not fully utilized and disk space is largely wasted. In this situation, we should change cluster size by using partition magic server – MiniTool Partition Wizard Server Edition.
Launch "Change Volume Cluster Size" in one of the following ways:
1. Right click desired volume in Disk Map or Volume List and select "Change Volume Cluster Size" in popup menu.
2. Click "Change Volume Cluster Size" in Dynamic Disk menu at the top of the main interface.
3. Select "Change Volume Cluster Size" from "Operations" menu in "Action Panel".
We can clearly see the current cluster size contains 8 sectors with 4KB capacity. Click pull-down menu to change volume cluster size.
Click "Yes" after selecting cluster size to return to main interface and then click "Apply".
