Extend system drive under Windows 2008 Server

Currently, hard drives are famous for owning amazing space. Nevertheless, even if current disks have large sizes, we are still amazed at browser caches, its quick installation for Windows application programs and update, and temporary files which can take up all free space and make our system run disorderly.
When Windows 2008 Server runs for a period of time, its system drive will be short of space. If there is little or no free space on the system partition, operating system will run much slowly, and we can not store any new application program on it. More badly, operating system may crash if system partition is extremely short of space.
The best way to solve this problem is to extend the system drive with unallocated space by shrinking other drives. Here, I will introduce a method for extending the system drive under Windows 2008 Server without performing deletion or reformatting

How to extend system drive under Windows 2008 Server?
Compared with Windows 2003 Server, Microsoft adds "Shrink" function and "Extend" function in Windows 2008 Server. Therefore, many people suggest using Windows 2008 Server built-in disk management tool to extend system drive. Actually, it can not help us realize system drive extending, because it only can operate backward. That is to say shrunk space is behind the drive needed shrinking but not behind the system drive. Only when unallocated space is behind the system drive can we extend the system drive.
