We know that when we don’t want others to see our secret documents, we may save them in a partition and hide this partition. However, if we want to show this partition again, what should we do to realize this? Surely, we will unhide partition. Here in this article, we will introduce two good ways to achieve showing hidden partition. It’s easy for users to use partition software to achieve this. So, the first good way introduced by us is to show hidden partition with software – MiniTool Partition Wizard.
Note：Users can only show hidden partition with this software if they hided the certain partition with it before.
Step 1: To smoothly show hidden partition with software, users need to choose the certain hidden partition in the main interface after running MiniTool Partition Wizard. And then users should right click this chosen partition and select “Unhide Partition” from the pop-up list.
Step 2: Choose a new drive letter for this partition which will be unhidden. And then click “OK” to go back to the main interface.
Step 3: In the above image, users can see the preview effect. Then users need to choose “Apply” from tool bar of this partition software to start the pending changes.
From the above steps, we can see that it’s simple to show hidden partition with software. Next, we would like to tell users how to achieve this with Disk Management. However, users should notice that in some systems (such as Win 7, Win XP and Windows Server 2008), users can unhide a partition with DM only if this partition was hidden with it before. In other systems, such as Win 8, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2012, users can unhide a partition with DM, even if it was hidden with MiniTool Partition Wizard.
Step 1: Right click “My Computer” on the desktop and choose “Manage” to enter the main interface of “Computer Management”.
Step 2: Click “Disk Management” to see the disk list.
Step 3: Right click a certain hidden partition and choose “Change Drive Letter and Paths”.
Step 4: Click “Add”, choose a drive letter from the text box of “Assign the following drive letter:” and then choose “OK” to return to the main interface.
Step 5: Users can see clearly that the hidden partition chosen in step 3 has been smoothly displayed.
Now, we will put an end to introducing the ways to show hidden partition with software as well as Disk Management. Users can choose a suitable tool for them to show hidden partition. We would like to provide them with a certain net page to know more about this partition software.
