"Best Partition Manager out there" by hockemoto
have used this program to resize, create, delete, format and even once, rebuild the MBR. This was across 4 large drives of different makes on 11 different partitions. All this was done rather quickly, without any data loss.

Flash Drive Says There’s No Space

Flash Drive Says There’s No Space Issue

It is believed that many of you may have encountered such a problem “There is not enough free space on the hard drive. Delete one or more files to free disk space, and then try again” when copying or transferring some large files to a USB flash drive. From the following picture, Windows also gives you a suggestion that you should delete some old or unnecessary files to free space on this drive with Disk Cleanup.
Even sometimes, you may receive “the file xx is too large for the destination file system”.
Why does this error appear? If you try to move small files to your USB flash drive, this operation can be done successfully. However, if you copy a file larger than 4GB, Windows may say not enough free space on flash drive. Actually, it is because of system file, that is to say, it is caused by the destination hard drive which runs a FAT32 file system that only supports less than 4GB single file. This file system only can be used in some old operating systems, also it is available for old game consoles. Besides, the USB flash drives use FAT32 by default. Therefore, how to fix no enough space error?

Solution to Flash Drive Says There’s No Space Issue

Way 1: Split Large File to 4GB Chunks

If you want to remove “there is not enough free space on the drive” error, and move a large file lager than 4GB to your removable hard drive, you need to split the large file into small parts and each part is less than 4GB. You can use a tool that is called WinRAR to do this work.

In fact, the best solution is to convert your USB flash drive to NTFS to solve this issue. When it comes to this topic, many of you may choose to use Windows built-in Disk Management to convert to FAT32.Nevertheless, this way will make all your partition data lost. Or you may use Diskpart to do this work, however, it is easy to get such a message “Data error ”.
