"Best Partition Manager out there" by hockemoto
have used this program to resize, create, delete, format and even once, rebuild the MBR. This was across 4 large drives of different makes on 11 different partitions. All this was done rather quickly, without any data loss.

Fixing server 2008 partition problem

I like playing games to kill time and I guess that it is the exact reason what I am suffering: partition loss in Windows Server 2008 computer. Yesterday afternoon, I found an interesting game and I downloaded it from the website. Then, I performed software installation to partition F and then I played for a while. However, I found some disk partitions are gone when I boot the system this morning. Why is happens? Is there any effective method for fixing Server 2008 partition problem?

What Causes Partition Loss

There is a well-known fact that once the partition table is destroyed, the operating system will warn users with” Non-System disk or disk error, replace disk and press a key to reboot” and “Error Loading Operating System” or “No ROM Basic, System Halted”. Receiving one of those messages, users need to realize that partition loss is happening. In terms of possible reasons, there are computer virus infection, environment problems and improper operations.
The situation mentioned above belongs to malicious software attacks. In the era where computer viruses are rampant, malicious users are most likely to embed malicious software into some games or other applications. Once computer users use their machine to download the virus-embedded games or applications, the computer will be infected and then suffer from partition loss.

Ways to Get Lost Partition Back

1. Recovering lost partition with Fdisk command asks for complicated operations, so users who are not familiar with DOS commands are not advised to adopt this method, otherwise they may come across data loss if improper operations are done.
2. Fix partition loss with third party server partition manager which is given with the function to recover deleted or missing partitions. Professional server partitioning software named MiniTool Partition Wizard Server Edition is highly recommended. It enables users to repair partition table and recover lost or deleted partitions except for physical damaged or hard disk or other storage medium failure. Apart from high competence, the software also has excellent operability and wide compatibility.
