“Can somebody Help, please? Although I can see all drive and partitions letters in My Computer, when I go to Disk Management Console, all Fixed Disks & Partitions letters have been disappeared. I use Windows 10. Thanks in advance.”

As you know, drive letter refers to the process of assigning alphabetical identifiers to volumes for internal hard drives, external hard drives, removable devices and so on. Drive letter can be from A to Z, among these 26 letters, usually C is allocated to system partition. Once a drive letter is assigned to the partition, the partition can be used. However, the drive letter is likely to be missing due to many reasons, such as faulty Windows setting, the bad compatibility between USB interface and motherboard and hidden partition. When your drive letter is disappeared, this partition may be invisible and unable to access data, which brings much inconvenience and many troubles to you. What should to you do to solve this issue? How to Fix Drive Letter Missing

 
Generally speaking, there are three methods you should do, which are to modify Windows setting, unhide partition or reallocate a drive letter for the partition.
 

Modify Windows Setting

 
When drive letter disappeared issue only occurs in Windows Explorer, it is possible that your drive letters are hidden. So in order to fix it, please open Windows Explorer, under “Options” tab, click “Change Folder and search options”. Then click “View” button, check “Show drive letters”. After doing that, all partition letters will be shown.

Unhide Partition

 
In addition, it is possible that your partition is hidden, so drive letter is unable to be seen. In order to let your drive letter appeared, the best way is to set your partition “unhidden”.
