Step 1: Click “Extend Partition” in the action panel.
Step 2: Take some free space from other partition on the same disk.
Step 3: Hit “Apply” to perform this extension operation.
Change Journal has an influence on your system reserved partition. Once a change is made to a file or directory on a volume, the USN change journal will be updated. Then, the disk space of system revered partition may be not enough to save the volume shadow copy during system image creation. In this case, you can choose to clear the USN journal files.
1. Enter Windows Disk Management to use “Change Drive Letter and Paths” feature to allocate one drive letter for system reserved partition.
2. Run CMD.
3. Type “fsutil usn query journal E:“.
4. Then input “fsutil usn deletejournal /N /D E:“.
5. Remove the drive letter.
By this way, about 30-40 MB space will be freed.
If you don’t want to extend partition, you can try the following way to change the size.
Suppose the recovery partition is 500MB, and the free space is 160MB. In order to meet the minimum requirement of create system image failed not enough disk space error, just shrink this recovery partition to 495MB, then the free space becomes 155MB.
