"Best Partition Manager out there" by hockemoto
have used this program to resize, create, delete, format and even once, rebuild the MBR. This was across 4 large drives of different makes on 11 different partitions. All this was done rather quickly, without any data loss.

Install Windows 10 on SSD

In a computer, the built-in hard drive is an HDD. A period of time later, perhaps you will find the loading time of your PC becomes slower and slower. For users who pursue fast speed, this is the thing they can’t stand. Under this circumstance, to install Windows 10 on SSD is a good choice if you want to enjoy a good performance for Windows 10.

How to Install Windows 10 on SSD

Well then, you may wonder: how can I install OS on SSD? In a nutshell, there are two methods for this task. One is to make a clean Windows 10 installation. This way requires an installation disc. And then after the installation, all your data on the system drive will be deleted and you must download some applications again, which is troublesome and takes you much time.

In addition, the second way is to transfer Windows 10 to SSD. This way is more effective and doesn’t require OS reinstallation. Let’s see how to install OS on SSD by this way.

For installing Windows 10 on SSD, a third-party partition manager can help you. Here, we highly suggest using MiniTool Partition Wizard which provides you with two useful features for OS migration without reinstalling OS. When entering its main interface, you can see the features in the toolbar, as shown below:

Step 1: Just click one to begin OS migration to SSD. Here take “Migrate OS to SSD/HD” as an example.

Step 2: There are two migration options offered by MiniTool Partition Wizard. A is for the entire system disk and B is for only system partition migration. Just choose one depending on the actual situations.

Step 3: Click one disk as the destination disk. But note that the migration OS process will delete all data on the destination disk. You had better back up your important data with MiniTool ShadowMaker.

Step 4: Then, check one copy method from the following page.

Note:
1. For SSD, “Align partitions to 1MB” should be selected.
2. Want to use GPT disk as the destination disk? “Use GUID Partition Table for the target disk” feature should be checked, however, this is not included in the Free Edition but in Professional Edition or an advanced one. See the edition comparison.

Step 5: This clone software will inform you to how to boot from the destination disk. Just do as the following page shows after the migration.

Step 6: Apply all the changes.

By means of MiniTool Partition Wizard, it is fairly easy and effective to install Windows 10 on SSD. After finishing the system disk cloning, please change BIOS setting to boot your PC from SSD. Enjoy the benefit from SSD now.
